Mersham Design Consultancy (“MDC”, “this practice”) is a one-person CAD drafting and modelling practice operated by Jiten Halai, registered in England & Wales as Mersham Design Consultancy Limited (company number 11155745), registered office 16 Mersham Drive, Kingsbury, London NW9 9PN. This notice describes the personal data currently collected through mershamdesign.co.uk (the “Site”) and how it is used.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Mersham Design Consultancy is responsible for personal data submitted through this Site. For data-protection questions or rights requests, contact Mersham Design Consultancy by phone on +44 7581 836272 or by post at 16 Mersham Drive, Kingsbury, London NW9 9PN.

2. What this practice collects

This practice collects personal data that you choose to provide. The Contact form currently asks for:

  • Your name
  • Company name
  • Phone number, which is optional
  • Sector and project timeline (Bridges / Railways / Highways / Residential / Point Cloud to 3D / Other)
  • Project details you choose to share

The form does not ask for an email address. When you select “Send via WhatsApp”, the Site creates a pre-filled WhatsApp message. Sending that message is your choice; if you send it, WhatsApp processes it under its own terms and privacy information. The Site also receives limited technical data when you browse, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through standard server logs and, if enabled, analytics tools.

3. Why it is collected

  • To respond to an enquiry if you choose to send the prepared details through WhatsApp or contact this practice by phone.
  • To discuss and deliver agreed work, including using relevant contact and project details for an engagement.
  • To meet applicable obligations, such as maintaining records where this is required.

Personal data is not sold, rented, or traded. Contact-form information is not used for marketing.

4. Who it is shared with

Information is shared only where needed to handle the enquiry, operate the Site, deliver agreed work, or meet an applicable obligation. If you choose to send the prepared message, WhatsApp receives and processes that message. Website hosting and WordPress maintenance providers may process information needed to operate the Site, and accounting or invoicing providers may process information needed for confirmed engagements. Their own terms and privacy information apply to the services they provide.

5. How long it is kept

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any applicable record-keeping obligations. The appropriate period depends on the circumstances; this notice does not set one blanket period for every enquiry.

6. Cookies

The Site may use essential cookies required for it to function and, if enabled, analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used. Cookie use is limited to what is needed to operate and improve the Site.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable data-protection law, you may be able to:

  • Ask what personal data this practice holds about you and receive a copy of it
  • Ask for inaccurate data to be corrected
  • Ask for your data to be deleted where there is no applicable reason to keep it
  • Ask to restrict or object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled

To make a rights request, contact this practice by phone on +44 7581 836272 or by post at 16 Mersham Drive, Kingsbury, London NW9 9PN.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational steps are taken to protect the personal data you share against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or to this practice’s data handling. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
